Over 50% tickets for the opening and closing ceremony of the 2nd European Games have already been sold, Maksim Koshkalda, the head of marketing and advertising at the Minsk European Games Organizing Committee (MEGOC), said at a press conference, BelTA has learned.
Overall, more than 40% tickets for 120 sessions has been sold. “The ticket sales are going well,” Maksim Koshkalda said.
According to him, representatives of 28 countries have already purchased the tickets for the European sport event of 2019.
In addition to the opening and closing ceremonies, the most popular sessions include track and field competitions, beach soccer, rhythmic gymnastics and acrobatics, karate. More than 50% for these events have been sold.
According to Maksim Koshkalda, the ticket program has been designed for a total number of 384,000 seats. “With the increased demand for some competitions at Minsk Arena and Chizhovka Arena, their seating capacity can be expanded to 535,000,” he said.
The 2nd European Games will be held at 29 facilities on 21-30 June. Taking part in the competitions will be about 4,000 athletes from 50 countries. Competitions in eight sports will be qualifiers for the 2020 Summer Olympics in Tokyo.
