All citizens of Mosty and its region came to the soldier-liberator monument. They paid homage to the heroes who lost their lives during the Great Patriotic War. Touching and triumphant Mosty region celebrated Victory day.
All citizens and especially war veterans were congratulated by Valevatyiy Yuriy, Chairman of the Regional Executive Committee.
Also, the delegations of public associations, working collectives, agricultural organizations of Mosty region attended this event. Junior school children recited poems about children of war and tears of sadness rolled down for thoughts about war prisoners. Nadezda Poznyak, the student of school №5, congratulated war veterans on behalf of the young. Lots of students came with the portraits of their great-grandfathers because they were at war and died there.
Elena Sharay, an ex-prisoner of Nazi concentration camp, took the floor. Her speech was touching and it brought tears to her eyes. So, perseverance and courage helped her to finish a war oration.
One minute’s silence in remembrance of fallen soldiers who were exhausted by Nazi concentration camps, who were burnt in villages, showed that we remember this day and we are thankful . Weapon salvo made all people to shudder and reminded about the bombs and explosions of that time. After that children and grown-ups gave flowers to war veterans and said “Thank you”
